Shwan Dler Qaradaki
Through various forms of aesthetic practice, taking a large part of my work based on close and remote political themes, based on their own experiences and observations, different situations and attitudes around the themes of identity, integration, diversity and belonging is largely the source of my art production.
The incentives for my projects are not media specific. I choose the medium I consider to be relevant in terms of the design I use and they are based on my interest in painting, drawing, photography, and sculpture. I work in general through curiosity and research, and although I usually look for the end result, this is no obstacle for large or small changes along the way. Each piece of work has different content, both conceptually and thematically, but it is on my part a desire both a visual and conceptual red line in the works.
One of the objectives of my art is to operate as unconventional contributor to an already existing, but little challenged society's debate. I consider the potential for alternative reading of objects and individuals in the media and everyday situations that are very interesting in an art context.
